Internship Reflection

End of Semester/Internship Reflection

My internship at Medasource was a valuable experience that helped me grow both professionally and personally. Coming into the internship, I did not have much knowledge about the finance side of a company, but over time, I was able to learn how important financial processes are in supporting daily operations. This experience helped me better understand areas like expense reports, payroll, and data management.

During the semester, I gained hands-on experience using systems like Concur, ADP, and Bullhorn. I worked on tasks such as reviewing expense reports, organizing receipts, and updating project information. These tasks helped me improve my attention to detail and organizational skills. I also became more comfortable working with data and learned how important accuracy is in finance.

One of the most valuable parts of this internship was being able to work with the finance team and observe how different tasks connect to the overall goals of the company. It also taught me how to manage my time, stay organized, and ask questions when I needed help. Over time, I became more confident in my work and more independent in completing tasks.

Overall, this internship helped me discover my interest in finance and confirmed that I would like to continue working in this area after graduation. I am grateful for the opportunity and everything I learned during this experience.
